The AL pennant came down to the wire with the Philadelphia Athletics edging out both the Boston Americans & New York Highlanders by 1 game. The NL pennant was a runaway with the Pittsburgh Pirates beating the 2nd place St. Louis Cardinals by 26 games. In the 1902 World Series, the Pittsburgh Pirates swept the Philadelphia Athletics 4 games to zero.

Reader Participation OOTP Replay June & July 1902

The Boston Americans lead the Philadelphia Athletics by 2 games in the AL. Over in the NL, the Pittsburgh Pirates are running away with the title by holding a 16.5 game lead over the 2nd place Chicago Orphans.

The 1902 Amateur Draft was held June 1st, 1902 and with the #1 pick the Detroit Tigers selected Mordecai Brown.  The St. Louis Cardinals nabbed Tony "Mac" McDonald with the 4th overall pick.

Reader Participation OOTP Replay April & May 1902

The 1902 season has gotten underway and at the beginning of May the Boston Americans lead the Chicago White Sox by 6 games in the AL. Over in the NL, the Pittsburgh Pirates have a 2.5 game lead over the Brooklyn Superbas.

The AL regular season wrapped up with the Boston Americans running away with the AT title by 32 games over 2nd place Milwaukee. Over in the NL, the Pittsburgh Pirates held off the Brooklyn Superbas by 13 games setting up a Boston vs. Pittsburgh World Series.  It went the full 7 games with Pittsburgh beating Boston 4 games to 3.
